Footage of the horrific accident in which police officers were injured has emerged: Vehicle turned into scrap

Around 12:00 on Serik Street in the Muratpaşa district, a Fiat-brand light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 HHG 916, driven by Ali İhsan G., first hit 3 vehicles traveling in the same direction and then, while attempting to flee, crashed into an unmarked police vehicle with license plate 07 BAA 451 that was on duty.

In the accident, the unmarked police vehicle was thrown to the side of the road and hit a tree, and fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Meanwhile, police officers Ali Sefa G. and Mikail B., who were serving at the Robbery Bureau of the Antalya Police Department's Public Security Branch and were inside the vehicle that had turned into scrap, were pulled from the vehicle by citizens in the area.

FOOTAGE OF THE ACCIDENT HAS EMERGED

While the injured police officers were taken to the hospital by ambulances after receiving initial intervention at the scene, an argument broke out between the driver of the vehicle with license plate 34 HHG 916, Ali İhsan G., who caused the accident, and citizens in the area.

During checks performed by traffic teams, it was determined that Ali İhsan G. was not under the influence of alcohol, and he was taken to the hospital to be tested for narcotics.

On the other hand, the moment of the accident was captured by the dashcam of another vehicle coming from behind.

In the footage, it was seen that the vehicle, which was speeding and weaving through traffic, tried to pass between two moving vehicles, crashed into the vehicle carrying the police officers from behind, and then pushed it forward, pinning it against a palm tree on the median.
