Girl who lost her life in a tragic accident laid to rest with a wedding dress and veil

The accident occurred on April 19 at around 20:00 in the Akıncılar neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. According to allegations, 16-year-old Zeynep Su Acar, who worked at a cafeteria, got on a motorcycle driven by her friend Ercan A. (18), who had come to pick her up.

The motorcycle lost control while in motion, causing Acar to hit a concrete pillar of the metro bridge and fall to the ground. The motorcycle overturned shortly after. Both the driver and the passenger were dragged for meters in the accident.

Upon notification, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance. However, Zeynep Su Acar could not be saved despite all interventions. The young girl's funeral was held at the Kürkçüler Cemetery.

It was learned that the driver, Ercan A., who was seriously injured, is still undergoing treatment at the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Meanwhile, security camera footage of the accident has emerged. The footage shows the moment the motorcycle lost control after hitting a stone on the median, and Zeynep Su Acar being thrown and hitting the base of the metro bridge.

The sight of a wedding dress and veil placed on Acar's coffin during the funeral ceremony was heartbreaking.
