Grand Kartal Hotel, which became a grave for 78 people, sealed
The area around the Grand Kartal Hotel at the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center, where the fire tragedy occurred, has been cordoned off with tape. The hotel has been sealed by authorities.

The fire, which broke out in the restaurant section located on the minus 1st floor relative to the main entrance and the 4th floor relative to the rear entrance of the Grand Kartal Hotel—one of the five hotels at the summit of the Köroğlu Mountains at an altitude of 2,200 meters, 38 kilometers from the city center—grew in a short time.
Due to the fire that started at 03:21 at night, fire crews arrived in the region and intervened in the flames.
LASTED 11 HOURS
The fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel lasted exactly 11 hours. Within the scope of the investigation opened into the tragedy, 11 people have been detained to date.
The hotel, which sustained heavy damage in the fire, was sealed following inspections. The main entrance of the hotel was cordoned off with tape and a seal was applied to the door.
A preliminary report regarding the fire was prepared by the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
In the prepared preliminary report, it was stated that the hotel was heavily damaged.
Only gendarmerie teams were allowed to enter the sealed hotel during the day. It was learned that the teams would search for valuables and jewelry.
