He did not want his religious-marriage wife to give birth, subjected her to violence: 'I might have hanged myself'

Stating that she met S.K. during a wedding organization in Ankara in 2022, G.A. said they later became a couple. G.A. stated that after a while, they entered into a religious marriage. G.A. said that after she became pregnant by her religious-marriage husband, S.K. did not want the child. Stating that problems arose in their relationship because the individual did not want the child, G.A. alleged that she was kidnapped, subjected to violence, and that attempts were made to cause her to miscarry. G.A., whose child is now 1 year old, has filed a lawsuit against S.K. for attempted murder and paternity.

"THE TARGET WAS NOT ME, THEY WANTED TO KILL MY UNBORN BABY"

Stating that S.K. was her religious-marriage husband, G.A. noted that after she became pregnant, he did not want the child. G.A. stated that they drifted apart after S.K. declared that bringing a child into the world was not a healthy idea, and said, "Later, I was called to a place by S.K. I went to the place he said because he told me he was in a difficult situation and that I could help him. However, when I went to the place he mentioned, I was taken to an unknown location in a white vehicle by 3 people I did not know, whose faces were covered with black masks. During this time, I only saw the sneakers of the person who had my head bent forward in the back. At the place where I was taken, I received threats containing profanity and was kicked in the stomach repeatedly. During this process, the target was not me; they wanted to kill my unborn baby. Later, they tore my t-shirt, and one of the individuals verbally harassed me, saying, 'Do you know how much more of this the Kaplans can do to you? You cannot mess with the Kaplans.'"

"I BELIEVED EVERYTHING HE SAID"

Stating that the individuals left her where they had picked her up after her bleeding started, thinking the baby had been miscarried, G.A. claimed, "After the incident, I called S.K. I said, 'Some people took me. These things happened because of you.' S.K. came in a panic. He started saying things like, 'I will find out who this is.' Because we were in a relationship at that time and he was the father of my child, I believed everything he said."

"THE RESPONSIBLE PARTIES ARE S.K. AND HIS FAMILY"

G.A. alleged the following:

"I wanted to attempt suicide because S.K. threatened me by saying he would encourage my daughter from a previous marriage to go down bad paths, but I pulled myself together and became stronger. I filed a lawsuit against S.K. for attempted murder against me and my unborn child. Our legal process has begun. Our indictment is finished. I filed a paternity suit against S.K. The process for our paternity suit is ongoing at the indictment stage. Our statements have been taken. Because I am making my voice heard so freely and because I am not afraid of them and not taking a step back, they will come after me. A car might hit me while I am walking down the street. It might be said that I committed suicide at home, that I hanged myself, but I will not have done any of these things. If something happens to me or my baby, the responsible parties are S.K. and his family."
