He killed his wife and shot himself
In the Gebze district of Kocaeli, a man who killed his wife with a handgun shot himself with the same weapon. The man, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred in the evening hours at an apartment located in the Hisar Sitesi in the İstasyon neighborhood.
Neighbors who heard gunfire from the apartment notified the 112 emergency call center.
Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Upon examination by medical teams, it was determined that Sevgün U. (55), who had been shot by her husband Cengiz U. (63), had lost her life.
Cengiz U., who attempted suicide with the same weapon after shooting his wife, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
It was learned that the couple had 4 children.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
