He set his house on fire while refilling a gas canister

The incident occurred in an apartment on the 3rd floor of a residential complex located on 31st Street in the 2000 Evler neighborhood.

According to allegations, the gas suddenly ignited while Sefa T. was transferring gas from a small picnic cylinder to a camping stove cylinder.

When the flames grew and Sefa T. was unable to extinguish the fire on his own, he called the 112 Emergency Call Center to request assistance.

In the meantime, he took his wife and baby, who were in the house, to a neighbor across the hall as a precaution.

Upon the report, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The fire department teams arrived at the address in a short time and brought the fire under control. The picnic cylinder used in the incident was also removed from the house by the fire crews.

Sefa T., who suffered injuries to his hands while trying to put out the fire, received initial treatment in an ambulance by the medical teams that arrived at the scene. An investigation into the fire has been launched.
