He tried to extinguish a blazing car by pouring antifreeze on it

The incident occurred around 19:30 on 1611 Street in the Paşacık neighborhood.

According to the information obtained, smoke began to emerge from the engine hood of a Volkswagen-brand car with license plate 68 AF 590, driven by Ömer Ç., which was traveling in the direction of Atatürk Boulevard.

The driver noticed the smoke and immediately got out of the vehicle, at which point the smoke from the hood gave way to flames.

As the vehicle began to burn fiercely in a short time, the driver tried to extinguish the flames by pouring antifreeze and antifreeze-containing windshield washer fluid that he had grabbed.

However, after the flammable antifreeze and windshield washer fluid were poured on, the flames in the vehicle intensified, and the driver and his friend reacted to journalists, interfering with their filming.

The driver and his friend were removed from the scene by police teams and attempts were made to calm them down.

Upon notification, fire and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Fire crews intervened and extinguished the vehicle, which had turned into a fireball.

The fire in the vehicle was completely extinguished after a half-hour effort, leaving the car unusable.

The fire department and police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
