He wounded the woman he blamed for his divorce and then committed suicide
In Adana, a man shot and wounded a woman he blamed for his divorce, then took his own life with the same weapon.
The incident occurred in the Sakarya neighborhood of the Seyhan district. According to reports, Serdar Yılmaz (42) divorced his wife, D.Y., some time ago. Unable to accept the separation, Serdar Yılmaz blamed H.D. (61), the mother of D.Y.'s first husband, for their split.
Yılmaz went to H.D.'s home to confront her, holding her responsible for the separation. During the ensuing argument, Yılmaz shot H.D. in the chest with a handgun.
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. To avoid surrendering, Yılmaz shot himself in the head with the handgun.
While medical teams transported the wounded woman to the hospital, it was determined that Serdar Yılmaz had lost his life. It was learned that the woman is in good condition.
