Identities of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident in Van have been determined: 7 people died

In the accident where a minibus and a pickup truck collided near the Güzeldere Tunnel on the Gürpınar-Başkale highway, 7 people lost their lives and 12 others were injured.

It was learned that those who lost their lives in the accident were Selim Kaya, Gülcan Kaya, Fadıl Korkmaz, Mehmet Yacan, Dindar Engin, Erkan Koç, and Metin Kandemir.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Van Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures.

VISIT TO THE HOSPITAL BY GOVERNOR OZAN BALCI

Van Governor and Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Ozan Balcı visited the citizens injured in the accident at the Van Regional Training and Research Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Governor Balcı received information about the health status of the injured from Provincial Health Director Op. Dr. Muhammet Tosun and Chief Physician of the Hospital Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remzi Sarıkaya.

Making a statement after the visit, Governor Balcı conveyed his best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured and said, "We have taken all necessary measures to ensure our citizens regain their health."
