Identity of woman found in the sea in Yalova identified
The identity of the woman whose body was found on the water's surface off the ferry pier in Yalova has been determined.
According to the information received, citizens who noticed a body on the sea surface off the IDO Ferry Terminal in the city center reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Teams from the Yalova Police Department's Sea Port Branch were dispatched to the area.
The lifeless body of the woman, who was recovered from the sea and had no identification on her, was taken to the morgue of Yalova Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
Investigations revealed that the body belonged to Yeliz Ay (40), who worked at the Yalova Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism.
It was reported that the exact cause of Ay's death is being investigated.
