A fire broke out on the set of the series Şakir Paşa Ailesi around 01:30 on the night connecting December 25 to December 26. The set where the mansion scenes were filmed was completely destroyed in this fire. Filming for the series had to be paused.
It is not yet clear when new episodes will begin. Reconstruction of the set has started. While the set is being rebuilt, outdoor filming for the series resumed after the New Year.
No statement has been made in the intervening time regarding the cause of the fire. The initial statement said, "Expert teams are comprehensively evaluating the cause of the fire and the possibility of sabotage."
