Landslide in Rize following heavy rainfall: Children's playground and retaining wall damaged!
Heavy rainfall in Rize caused a landslide in front of the Ceylan Saray complex in the Fener neighborhood. The landslide damaged a children's playground and a retaining wall, but there were no casualties. Following the incident, police and municipal teams were dispatched to the area to take security measures. The rainfall continues intermittently.
Due to the heavy rainfall that has been effective in the city since last night, a landslide occurred in the front section of the Ceylan Saray complex on Yağmur Street in the Fener neighborhood.
The soil sliding from the area where the children's playground is located collapsed the retaining wall in front of the complex.
In the incident, where no loss of life occurred, the children's playground and the retaining wall were damaged.
Upon notification, police and municipal teams were dispatched to the scene.
The teams closed the children's playground and the complex's indoor parking lot to use with security tape.
Rainfall continues intermittently in the region.
