Meteorology issues 'yellow' alert for 13 provinces! Heavy rainfall to take effect
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a "yellow" alert for 13 provinces due to expected heavy rainfall in the eastern parts of the country. Localized heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected in provinces such as Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Bitlis, and Van. Authorities emphasized the need to be cautious against potential negative impacts such as floods, water inundation, and lightning strikes.

According to the latest forecasts by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the downpours and thunderstorms expected in the eastern parts of the country starting from the night hours are predicted to be locally strong in the northeast of Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Bitlis, Muş, Batman, the northwest of Van, the north of Siirt, Ağrı, the west of Iğdır, the east of Giresun, the west of Trabzon, and the coastal areas of Rize and Artvin.
A "yellow" alert has been issued for Ağrı, Artvin, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Giresun, Muş, Rize, Siirt, Trabzon, Şanlıurfa, Van, Batman, and Iğdır, where heavy rainfall is expected.
The statement also urged citizens to be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as floods, water accumulation, lightning, landslides, local hail, and strong winds during precipitation.
