Mother finds child beaten after picking them up from daycare: It happened in a short time
In the Gemlik district of Bursa, a mother found her 2.5-year-old child beaten when she came to pick them up in the evening, having left them at daycare in good health in the morning. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
The incident occurred at a private daycare operating in the Umurbey neighborhood of Gemlik district. According to allegations, the mother dropped her child off at the daycare in the morning. While no information was provided throughout the day, the mother was shocked to notice signs of physical abuse when she arrived to pick up her child.
According to the family's claims, the supervising teacher was not in the classroom during the incident, and they were not informed about the beating. It is alleged that the child was assaulted by another child. The family went to the hospital to obtain a medical report regarding the injuries and reported the situation to the authorities.
It was learned that the prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident and that the gendarmerie will be sent to the daycare to examine security camera footage. On the other hand, it is alleged that the daycare management told parents that no camera recordings were kept.
In a statement, a daycare official defended the situation by claiming the incident happened in a short time, stating, "The supervising teacher left the room for a short while. When they returned about 2 minutes later, they saw two children fighting and intervened."
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
