Murder uncovered after 9 years: Chilling confessions from the stepfather who killed his disabled stepson!
The stepfather, who was taken into custody following allegations regarding the death of 9-year-old disabled child Arda Karaman in Istanbul in 2016, confessed to the murder at the Isparta Police Department. The stepfather stated that he killed the child because he was bothered by his voice. The child's stepfather and mother were arrested and sent to prison.
While the investigation into Mehmet Çetin, who went missing in 2013 in the village of Büyükkabaca in the Senirkent district of Isparta, was ongoing, a different incident came to light following statements made by a witness who called into a television program.
During the broadcast, it was alleged that Remziye Y., the former mother-in-law of Fatma Çavdar—who was participating in the program regarding the Mehmet Çetin case—had told a relative of Fatma Çavdar that Arda Karaman was killed by Fatma Çavdar's husband, Hüseyin Çavdar. In her initial statement regarding the incident, Fatma Çavdar claimed the death was due to natural causes, but later stated that she had made that claim due to arguments at the time and retracted her statement given to the police station.
However, after another witness provided a similar statement, the investigation was deepened. The Isparta Chief Public Prosecutor's Office detained the couple, Fatma and Hüseyin Çavdar, in line with the allegations regarding the death of 9-year-old disabled child Arda Karaman, who passed away in 2016.
MURDER CONFESSION AND ARREST
Hüseyin Çavdar, who was brought to the Isparta Police Department on May 20, confessed on his third day in custody that he killed the child because he was making too much noise. After his procedures at the police station, Hüseyin Çavdar was referred to the courthouse and arrested for the crime of "intentional murder against a child." The mother, Fatma Çavdar, was also arrested after her statement on charges of "aiding and abetting a crime" and sent to prison.
NEW DETENTIONS IN THE MEHMET ÇETİN CASE
On the other hand, new developments have occurred in the case of Mehmet Çetin, who went missing in 2013. On the day the Çavdar couple was detained, Mehmet Çetin's ex-wife Derya K., and his friends Bayram A. and Bekir B. were also detained and brought to Isparta. The suspects' statements at the police station are ongoing.
