New development in Narin murder case: Items in family's possession under investigation

The investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır is deepening.

The carpet and some materials from the home of Narin's father, Arif Güran, and mother, Yüksel Güran, have been seized by authorities for examination.

According to a report by CNN Türk, throughout the 21 days that Narin was missing, the residents of Tavşantepe Village in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır and the 12 detained suspects maintained their silence regarding the murder.

As a significant detail, an 8-day gap was detected in the footage from the security cameras located at the homes of uncles Salim Güran and Hüseyin Güran.

These records also include footage from September 8, the day Narin's body was found. Recovering the missing footage from the hard drive sent to TÜBİTAK could provide significant clues regarding what happened in the house both before the incident and on the day Narin was found.

Nevzat Bahtiyar, a key confessor in the investigation, revealed in his latest statement that he took Narin's body from a room in Arif Güran's house after being summoned by her uncle, Salim Güran.

The carpets found in Narin's home will be examined to identify any DNA evidence that may be linked to the incident. Investigators will search the carpets for traces of Narin's saliva or evidence belonging to her uncle, Salim Güran.

Another dimension of the investigation involves footage from a camera at the military base area, which shows two individuals in the creek area.

The identities of these two individuals and their connection to the incident continue to be investigated.
