New development in the accident where little Eslem died and her sister was injured

The tragic accident occurred yesterday in the Dokurcun Dedeler neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the "pat pat" agricultural vehicle driven by A.T. (12), which belonged to his father, struck Eslem Ayaz (2) and her sister N.A. (6) while traveling through the village.

The two young sisters were thrown by the impact and were seriously injured. Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

The injured sisters were taken to Akyazı State Hospital after receiving initial intervention. However, little Eslem Ayaz could not be saved despite all the doctors' efforts.

The 6-year-old sister, N.A., who was seriously injured in the accident and transferred to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital, continues to fight for her life.

Eslem Ayaz, who lost her life, was laid to rest in the neighborhood cemetery with prayers and tears following the funeral prayer held at the Akyazı Dedeler Neighborhood Central Mosque after the noon prayer.

Following the incident, the father of the 12-year-old driver, Ş.T., was taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court, after which he was delivered to the Ferizli Penal Execution Institution.

It was learned that the 12-year-old child who caused the accident is being held in a Children's Home.

A report will be obtained regarding whether the child understands the nature of the crime. He is expected to be referred to the prosecutor's office following the report.
