Newborn baby's body found in trash container
The body of a newborn baby boy was found inside a bag in a trash container in Uşak.
The incident occurred in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a report was made to the 112 Emergency Call Center stating that a person had thrown a newborn baby into a trash container.
Upon the report, police teams affiliated with the Provincial Security Directorate were dispatched to the specified address.
During the investigation conducted by police teams at the scene, the body of a newborn baby boy was found inside a bag within a trash container.
Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the baby's lifeless body was taken to the Uşak Training and Research Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
As part of the ongoing investigation, it was determined that the baby's mother was S.D. (17).
While it was learned that the baby was born out of wedlock, a detention order was issued for the mother, who was determined to have recently given birth.
It was reported that S.D. was taken under treatment at Uşak Training and Research Hospital due to her health condition.
M.A.Y. (17), who is alleged to be the baby's father, was taken into custody by police teams.
The autopsy performed on the baby determined that the baby boy had been born on the same day.
On the other hand, it was learned that a comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
