N'Golo Kante's 'Aunt' Hatun speaks out

Continuing its efforts during the transfer window, Fenerbahçe has signed N'Golo Kante. The yellow-navy club signed a 2.5-year contract with the experienced midfielder, who arrived in Turkey yesterday evening.

N'Golo Kante, who formed a close bond with Sivas-born dentist Gökhan Çağrıcı while living in Paris, had been a guest at the Çağrıcı family home.

Having tasted the food prepared by the dentist's mother, Hatun Çağrıcı, Kante mentioned in an interview in 2021 that he had been introduced to Turkish culture. Kante, who calls the dentist's mother 'Mother Hatun,' won hearts with his humble demeanor.

Hatun Çağrıcı, who made headlines at the time for her bond with N'Golo Kante, said, "Kante is my son's friend. He is very close with us. He comes to our house and eats. He is a very clean, very honest, prayerful, and humble boy. I hope he will be beneficial and bring good luck to our country.

When he comes to Turkey, I will invite him to my home. There is no need to even invite him. He will come and find me. I hope to treat him to the manti and meatballs he wants," she said.
