No defendants remain in custody in the case of social media influencer Neslihan Güngen and her husband: They were facing up to 154 years in prison

An investigation was launched against social media influencer and beauty center owner Neslihan Güngen, known by the name 'Neslim', on allegations of tax evasion, money laundering, issuing fake invoices, and bribery through the companies she owns. She had been facing up to 154 years in prison for 7 separate charges.

The trial of the 26 defendants, including Neslihan Güngen and her husband İnanç Güngen, continued.

At the hearing held by the Küçükçekmece 6th High Criminal Court at the Marmara Penal Execution Institutions Silivri Campus in Silivri, some of the detained defendants, including Neslihan and İnanç Güngen, as well as some non-detained defendants and the lawyers of the parties, were present.

6 defendants released

The defendants who presented their defense at the hearing stated that they did not accept the charges against them and requested their acquittal and release from the court.

Following the defense statements, the court panel announced its interim decision, ruling for the release of 6 defendants, including Neslihan Güngen and her husband İnanç Güngen, on the condition of a 'travel ban', and adjourned the hearing to address outstanding matters.

With the release of the defendants, there are no longer any detained defendants in the case file.
