Objects children were playing with turn out to be ammunition: 11 items

According to the information obtained, teams from the Kırıkkale Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, Theft Bureau, were conducting work on a different matter on 1032nd Street in the Kaletepe neighborhood.

During this time, the police noticed children playing with military ammunition in the garden.

Due to the danger posed, the children were removed from the scene, and the garden was cordoned off with security tape.

Bomb disposal experts and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the area. The teams examined 11 artillery shells, which were assessed to be military ammunition.

It was stated that the shells would be destroyed following the examination.

It was learned that the suspect, a scrap dealer identified as A.D., had brought the ammunition from the disposal site belonging to the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) in the Yahşihan district.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated by the Counter-Terrorism Branch teams under the instruction of the public prosecutor.
