Police officer who told friend he had cancer shoots himself with his service weapon
In the Erenler district of Sakarya, a police officer who told his friend he had cancer shot himself with his service weapon and passed away at the hospital where he was taken.
According to the information obtained, police officer Nurullah E., who was stationed in Bolu, met with his colleague, police officer Ş.S. (39).
It is alleged that while they were chatting in the vehicle, Nurullah E. stated that he was a stage 4 cancer patient and held his weapon to his throat.
The weapon discharged while his colleague was attempting to intervene. Nurullah E., who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by his colleague.
Despite all interventions, Nurullah E. could not be saved and lost his life. Additionally, his friend Ş.S., who tried to intervene in the incident, was slightly injured. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
