'Raincoat' marks the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby
Raincoats were distributed to fans before the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby, which was played under heavy wind and rain. When fans of both teams shared the raincoats given to them by their clubs on social media, it drew hundreds of comments and reactions.
Following warnings from meteorological authorities regarding the storm and rain expected during the match, the kickoff time for the derby was moved forward. Clubs also left raincoats on the seats to ensure fans attending the match would not be affected by the rain. However, the trouble began due to the differences between these distributed raincoats. The raincoats given to Fenerbahçe fans were more protective than those given to Galatasaray fans, leading to numerous comments on social media regarding the issue. Galatasaray fans expressed their reactions by stating that the raincoats they received were no different from trash bags, and they did not hesitate to criticize their club's management.
