Republic's 101st anniversary celebrated in İzmir with a 350-meter Turkish flag: Ships illuminated the Gulf

At the reception program organized by the Governorship at the Balçova Thermal Hotel, Governor Süleyman Elban and his wife İrem Beyza Elban welcomed the guests and celebrated their holiday.

The program, which began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, featured a video screening on the Republic.

In his speech there, Elban stated that he commemorates the founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the cherished martyrs, and the heroic veterans with infinite gratitude and appreciation.

Governor Elban said, "We are experiencing the pride of celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic. I commemorate with mercy and gratitude, primarily Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, all our martyrs who have passed into eternity, and all our ancestors who sweated and bled for this country, who founded, saved, and entrusted this beautiful Republic, this beautiful homeland, and this blessed state to us. I wish our living veterans long and healthy lives."

Following his speech, representatives of the Turkey War Disabled Veterans, Martyrs' Widows and Orphans Association presented flowers and a plaque to Governor Elban.

Thanking the Turkish Stars team participating in the program for their performance, Governor Elban used the expression, "I learned something from the Turkish Stars; it was founded in 1992. Since that day, they have performed very special shows on very special days. Today, their 500th show since their founding coincided with İzmir."

Governor Elban thanked the Turkish Stars by presenting them with a plaque.

The program ended with the cutting of a cake by Governor Elban and those accompanying him.

The reception was attended by Aegean Army and Garrison Commander General İrfan Özsert, AK Party İzmir Deputy Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı, Chief Public Prosecutor Fahri Mutlu Tosun, President of the İzmir Judicial Justice Commission Gökberk Sunal, Provincial Police Chief Celal Sel, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Metin Düz, Coast Guard Aegean Sea Regional Commander Rear Admiral Tayfun Paşaoğlu, district governors, provincial directors, veterans, and citizens.

FIREWORKS DISPLAY AND LIGHT SHOW ON SHIPS

As part of the Republic Day celebrations organized by the İzmir Governorship, a march and a lantern procession were held to Republic Square with a 350-meter Turkish flag unfurled at Konak Square.

Afterward, a fireworks display was held there.

Ships belonging to İZDENİZ illuminated the Gulf with lights.

Within the scope of the İzmir Culture Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Republic Day celebrations, artist Murat Boz gave a concert at Gündoğdu Square.
