Rojin's brother reveals a detail no one knew! Suspicions grow
The lifeless body of Rojin Kabaiş, found after an 18-day search along the shores of Lake Van, has raised questions about whether it was suicide or murder. Her brother, stating that 21-year-old university student Rojin was afraid of water, strengthened claims of foul play by saying, "They killed my sister."
Rojin Kabaiş, a 21-year-old first-year preschool teaching student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University's Faculty of Education, had come to Van from Diyarbakır after enrolling at the university and moved into her dormitory on September 25. On September 27, after eating at the dormitory, she was seen on security camera footage wearing sweatpants and looking at her phone as she passed through the turnstile to head toward the shore of Lake Van. The tragic news came 18 days after she went missing.
It was revealed that Kabaiş's lifeless body, whose headscarf had previously been found on the shore of Lake Van, was discovered yesterday by Mehmet Emin Ankay, who had gone to visit a gardener friend in the Mollakasım neighborhood.
SAW A DARK SHAPE AND INFORMED THE GENDARMERIE
Ankay stated that while he was watering the garden with his gardener friend around 14:10, he saw a dark shape on the shore of Lake Van. Curious about what it was, he approached it, realized it was a body, and informed the gendarmerie. Ankay stated that the gendarmerie teams determined during their investigation that the body belonged to the missing Rojin.
Following this development, the cause of death of Rojin, whose body was found after 18 days, has become a subject of curiosity. Was Rojin a victim of murder, or did she drown in Lake Van after entering the water to swim?
The fact that the young woman's body was found 20 kilometers away from the dormitory along the shoreline has raised the possibility of murder, and her body was sent to the forensic medicine institute to determine the exact cause of death.
Rojin Kabaiş's body was sent to her hometown of Diyarbakır following the autopsy procedures at the Van Forensic Medicine Institute.
After the funeral prayer held at the Yeniköy Mosque there, women carried her coffin on their shoulders. Kabaiş's body was laid to rest in the Yeniköy Cemetery amidst tears.
REVEALED THE UNKNOWN ON LIVE BROADCAST
Journalist Didem Arslan Yılmaz broadcast images of the location where Rojin's body was found on her television program, noting that the distance between the location and the dormitory was 20 kilometers.
Rojin's brother, Servet, stated that he received the tragic news during a live broadcast and that his sister was afraid of water.
The grieving brother's words, "They killed my sister," drew significant attention.
