Sad farewell to 24-year-old Leyla in Bursa

The Sınırtaş and Payaslıoğlu families, well-known in Bursa, are in mourning following the sudden death of 24-year-old Leyla Sınırtaş.

The young woman fell ill while visiting her brother in Istanbul and could not be saved despite all medical interventions at the hospital where she was taken.

It was learned that Sınırtaş, who lost her life due to a brain aneurysm, became a source of hope for 5 people through the donation of her organs.

Following the painful loss at such a young age, the family approved the donation, saying, "May there be lives that Leyla keeps alive."

A funeral prayer was held for Sınırtaş at the Bademli Mosque during the afternoon (ikindi) prayer. The young woman was laid to rest in the Bademli Cemetery amidst tears.

In addition to numerous business people, civil society representatives, and family friends, the funeral was attended by Mudanya Mayor Deniz Dalgıç, Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın, and Journalists Confederation President Nuri Kolaylı.

İstanbul Bilgi University, from which she graduated, also issued a statement saying, "We have learned with deep sadness of the loss of our New Media and Communication Department graduate Leyla Sınırtaş. We extend our condolences to her family and loved ones."

The passing of Leyla Sınırtaş, daughter of well-known Bursa dentists Oğuz Sınırtaş and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melda Payaslıoğlu, has caused great sorrow both in the city and in university circles.

However, the organ donation decision made by her family has become a source of consolation, providing a new hope for life to 5 patients.
