Seized as part of IMM operations: New management of İmamoğlu İnşaat announced! 11 names appointed as trustees

A significant development has occurred in the wide-ranging corruption investigation conducted into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) has appointed trustees to 24 companies seized as part of the investigation. The 11 individuals, appointed by the decision of the Istanbul 4th Criminal Court of Peace dated April 11, 2025, have taken over the management of the companies.

According to the report by Ercan Öztürk from MedyaRadar, detention warrants were issued on the morning of March 19 for 106 people, including IBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. Following four days of police interrogation, arrest warrants were issued for several individuals, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, Ali Nuhoğlu, Murat İlbak, Ali İlbak, and Yusuf İlbak.

The investigation, conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, includes serious charges such as "managing a criminal organization," "membership in an organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "rigging of tenders."

Within the scope of the investigation, the TMSF appointed trustees last Friday to 24 companies determined to belong to Ekrem İmamoğlu and 100 other suspects. Among the seized companies are prominent firms such as İmamoğlu İnşaat, Nuhoğlu İnşaat, Kentvizyon Reklam, and Karsal Örme A.Ş.

NEW MANAGERS OF THE COMPANY ANNOUNCED

It was reported that the 11 individuals appointed by the TMSF will take over all authorities in the companies to which they were assigned as trustees. The term of office for these individuals will end on April 11, 2026.

These individuals will have the authority to make all administrative and financial decisions in a total of 24 companies, primarily İmamoğlu İnşaat.

FATHER İMAMOĞLU'S TERM ENDED

According to the announcement published in the Trade Registry Gazette on April 17, the terms of office for Hasan İmamoğlu, who was the Chairman of the Board of İmamoğlu İnşaat, and Tuncay Yılmaz, who was arrested along with Ekrem İmamoğlu, have ended. Similarly, the terms of office for those managing companies such as Nuhoğlu İnşaat and İstcon İnşaat have also ended.

WHO IS ENİS GÜÇLÜ ŞİRİN?

Fund auditor Enis Güçlü Şirin, who has become the Chairman of the Board for the companies seized by the TMSF, also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Board for Koza Holding companies, which were seized during the FETÖ investigation. Deputy Chairman Cahit Tokmak also serves as a Board Member in numerous companies that passed to the TMSF during the FETÖ investigation.
