In Istanbul's Esenyurt district, the relatives of a pregnant woman who died during childbirth at a private hospital she was taken to alleged negligence. They stormed the hospital and attacked the doctor. A large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The incident took place at a private hospital in the Şehitler neighborhood of Esenyurt. According to the information obtained, 25-year-old Büşra Söylemez was brought to the private hospital in the evening to give birth.
Söylemez fell ill following the intervention performed during the delivery.
After a while, the news that the young woman had lost her life was delivered to her relatives.
Following the news of Söylemez's death, her relatives, claiming there was negligence during the birth, stormed the hospital and began attacking the doctor.
Upon notification, numerous police teams were dispatched. In the ensuing chaos, police teams removed the relatives who were attempting to storm the hospital from the premises.
While police teams kept watch around the hospital throughout the night, the Esenyurt District Health Directorate and the prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident in which the young woman lost her life.
