Shocking claim regarding the Narin Güran murder: 'She saw something in the barn that the Turkish society could not bear'

The murder of Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, has become a central issue on Turkey's agenda.

Within the scope of the investigation launched into the murder of 8-year-old Narin, 11 people, including Narin's mother, brother, and uncle, have been arrested.

Even though 25 days have passed, it has not been clarified who killed Narin or why, and most recently, an allegation has emerged regarding a scene involving Narin's brother, uncle, and aunt.

Narin, who was said to be a talkative child who could express herself well, was allegedly killed because of this scene.

"HE SAW SOMETHING IN THE BARN THAT THE TURKISH SOCIETY COULD NOT BEAR"

Stating that he spoke with a person who had been included in the investigation from a village very close to Tavşantepe, Sözcü TV İstanbul News Director Cem Özkeskin shared the allegation as follows:

"On the evening of August 20, Narin unfortunately witnessed something in the barn near her uncle's house that the Turkish society cannot bear.

If we consider that this act was planned, and that this web of planning could not have been constructed in the heat of the moment on that day, then we are also placing into a logical framework the fact that something seen one day earlier was planned for the day after the Quran course.

"NARİN WOULD NOT STAY SILENT, SHE WOULD DEFINITELY TELL"

Narin had a particular trait. According to people I spoke with from nearby villages who knew Narin, her ability to communicate in Turkish was very strong. She was a child who could express herself very well and had high eloquence. Because of this, the fact that she might have seen something likely raised the suspicion among those caught that 'She won't stay silent, she will definitely tell.'"

Recalling the messages exchanged between the arrested uncle and village headman, Salim Güran, and his 15-year-old worker—which read, "Something of yours fell at that corner at the end, something belonging to you on the slope at the end," and "Okay, it's not with me yet/okay, it hasn't died yet"—Özkeskin continued as follows:

"Our news source, who has been involved in the investigation, is familiar with the background of these messages. These messages contain the following: Salim Nüran, Narin's mother Yüksel Güran, and Hediye Güran, the wife of Narin's other uncle Fuat Güran, appear to be involved in this incident. Similarly, the person who is involved or was dragged into being involved is the older brother, Enes Güran.

The sequence of events is as follows: Narin is heading home from Quran classes that day. Allegedly, only her mother is at home. The mother tells Narin, 'Your brother and his two friends are behind the house, go join them.'

Narin is directed toward her older brother. Then, the brother, Enes Güran, calls uncle Salim Güran and says, 'Narin is with us.' According to the allegations, Salim Güran replies, 'Okay, I am heading there.' After arriving at the scene, the intervention performed on Narin most likely, unfortunately, points to her being strangled. Whether it was with an object, by hand, or through physical intervention, judicial and official sources will reveal that.

As a result of the drowning, Narin's nose is bleeding. The blood sample found inside the vehicle, which was not even registered to Salim Güran, is indeed the blood that came from Narin's nose.

Salim Güran, brother Enes Güran, Narin, and two friends of brother Enes Güran get into that vehicle. Halfway there, the uncle lets these three children out, remains alone with Narin, and goes to a gas station. The purchase he made at the gas station was wet wipes; he most likely wanted to wipe away the blood.

The recoverable portion of the messages is cut off here. According to the news source's claim, these messages were forwarded to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on August 27. In fact, these messages are the source of the 'high suspicion' that our Minister of Justice, Yılmaz Tunç, mentioned even before Narin was found.

Because, according to the news source's claim, the uncle says in his conversation there with Enes Güran and Yüksel Güran, 'I murdered Narin.'

According to information I received from the same news source, Salim Güran's own brother was murdered in 2011. At the end of the murder case, an 18-year-old youth, another family member, was arrested. According to the news source's claim, Salim Güran committed this murder and made this child take the blame. We see that it is also said that Narin's older sister lost her life by falling down the stairs. Looking at it this way, the family inevitably appears to us as one capable of engaging in such organized acts."
