Shocking claim regarding the detained uncle in the Narin Güran murder investigation: 'Kill Narin, or I will kill you both'
Hürriyet columnist Hande Fırat shared new details she obtained from her meetings with high-level officials regarding the Narin Güran murder.
Tragic news has arrived 19 days after Narin Güran went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır.
The lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin was found on September 8 inside a sack covered with stones in the Eğertutmaz Stream near her home. The detention period for the 24 people taken into custody regarding the investigation has been extended.
Nevzat Bahtiyar, one of the 24 people taken into custody, confessed that Narin's uncle offered him 200,000 liras and asked him to dump the body by the stream. Following this confession, Narin's body was found inside a sack in the Eğertutmaz Stream.
In his statements reflected to the public, uncle Salim Güran did not confess to the murder in question, and he also left questions regarding the discovery of Narin's DNA samples on the back seat of his car unanswered.
As the investigation into Narin Güran continues, Hürriyet columnist Hande Fırat has brought a striking claim to the agenda. Stating, "I have obtained information from my meetings with numerous high-level officials in Ankara," Fırat noted that authorities are investigating the allegation that Narin's uncle, Salim Güran, who has been arrested, told Narin's older brother, "Kill Narin, or I will kill both of you."
Hande Fırat wrote the following:
“Who really took your life, my Narin, and how? What did you know or what did you see that the whole village is silent while Turkey is up in arms... I know that after a while, Turkey will forget again. Until the next 4-year-old Leyla, 3-year-old Müslüme, or 8-year-old Narin.”
It was August 21... Narin, known for being cheerful, intelligent, and talkative, went to Quran classes. Her headscarf was last seen on the stairs of her home. This means Narin had returned home.
Then he disappeared. So, what happened in the village that day? Here is the information I gathered from my meetings with numerous high-level officials in Ankara:
There was going to be a wedding. The imprisoned uncle sent the village youth to distribute invitations to other villages. In the already small village, there was hardly anyone left if you didn't count the women and children.
ALLEGATIONS REGARDING MOTHER AND UNCLE
“There were claims on social media that Narin could be the child of the detained uncle and her mother. This is not true. DNA samples were examined. However, the investigation is focusing on the claim that the talkative Narin may have witnessed a scene at home and was killed for that reason. The allegation that the uncle was having an affair with Narin’s mother is being investigated. The uncle denied this claim, but even if they did have a relationship, no one expects him to say, ‘Yes, we had a relationship.’”
“Narin is not the only child. The Yüksel-Arif Güran couple also has 5 sons. Another allegation being investigated concerns one of her older brothers. The first is the claim that the uncle, who is currently under arrest, told that brother, ‘Kill Narin, or I will kill you both.’ The second is the claim that he may have killed Narin due to allegations that he used drugs and had poor mental health.”
Meanwhile, there is no secret witness in the file who claims to have seen the murder. Based on the fact that the uncle is a very powerful figure in the family, the question of whether he gathered the entire family after the murder and reached a consensus is also being investigated. In other words, authorities are not ruling out the claim that everyone found out later and was forced to remain silent collectively.
HIGH-LEVEL OFFICIAL: THERE WERE 5-6 STONES THAT A SINGLE PERSON COULD NOT CARRY
Do not let your children read this part, but you adults, mothers, fathers, read it out loud so that everyone can hear!
Until the morning of September 8, the region was searched inch by inch, so to speak, by the gendarmerie, police, special teams sent from Ankara, and special equipment.
They entered the stream banks with iron rods. On the morning of September 8, Narin was found on the edge where the stream had turned into a marsh. Inside a sack...
A high-level official described the location where Narin was found as follows:
"At the point where the water meets the soil, inside a sack, covered with 5-6 stones that a single person could not carry, and an attempt had been made to create a natural appearance with tree branches. This alone creates the impression of a collective criminal conspiracy, if not in the commission of the murder, then in its aftermath."

This alone creates the impression of a collective criminal conspiracy, if not in the commission of the murder, then certainly in its aftermath."
