Shocking phone records in Narin Güran murder case: 'Let Nevzat take the blame' proposal

While the trial process continues regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days after she went missing in Tavşantepe Village in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, a new development has occurred. Phone conversations suggesting an attempt to cover up the murder have emerged.

NEW RECORDS DEEPEN THE INVESTIGATION

The audio recordings, which could change the course of the trial, allegedly contain a conversation between Hasan Kaya, a relative of the Güran family, and Gazal Bahtiyar, the wife of one of the defendants, Nevzat Bahtiyar. In the records in question, it is claimed that Kaya requested Gazal Bahtiyar to speak with her husband and have him take the blame for the murder.

'LET NEVZAT TAKE THE BLAME' PROPOSAL

In the records, the claim that Hasan Kaya told Gazal Bahtiyar, "If Nevzat had taken the blame for the murder, we would have allowed them to get their houses back," draws attention. Following these conversations, the prosecutor's office has deepened the investigation by considering the audio recordings as evidence.

Hasan Kaya: I went there today. They said; Nevzat did it anyway.

Gazal Bahtiyar: You should have said; sacrifice yourselves for Nevzat. Are they saying Nevzat did it too?

Hasan Kaya: If Nevzat had said 'I did it', we would have allowed them to get their houses back. We would have given the house to Gazal. You tell them. I said, "I cannot tell them such a thing"; they already have houses in the village.

"SO 'LET NEVZAT TAKE THIS MATTER UPON HIMSELF'"

Gazal Bahtiyar: Should you have said, are there fools in front of you? He will do it and then they will pin the crime on him. I would sacrifice myself for Nevzat. I would sacrifice my five or six children. Would I covet worldly goods? They already demolished Nevzat's house. They set fire to Nevzat's house. They burned his daughters, they threw fire at his house.

Hasan Kaya: I said; 'The children told me. Let them transfer our car,' Mehmet said. They told me 'Okay,' they said they would transfer the car when the time comes.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO SUSPECTS

It was noted that the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into 5 people regarding the matter and that the individuals' statements have been taken.

TRIAL ADJOURNED TO DECEMBER 26

The hearing of the case filed against 4 detained defendants for the murder of Narin Güran, with a request for aggravated life imprisonment, was adjourned to December 26 with an interim decision, and it was decided that the detention of the defendants would continue.
