Shotgun attack on youths in park: 10 injured

The incident occurred at a children's playground on Park Yolu Street in the Süleymaniye neighborhood. According to the information obtained, 18-year-old Ö.Ç. arrived at the scene in a vehicle with an as-yet-unidentified license plate and opened fire multiple times with a pump-action shotgun at those present in the park.

Pellets from the shotgun struck 10 people in the park. While there was great panic in the surrounding area following the sound of gunfire, the attacker fled the scene in the vehicle. Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

The injured individuals, identified as E.Ç. (17), Ahmet Ç. (18), O.Ş. (15), Ratibe A. (36), Berat V. (21), Uğurcan V. (27), B.V. (15), Y.S. (13), D.Ç. (13), and M.U. (16), were transported to İnegöl State Hospital by ambulances arriving at the scene and by private vehicles of citizens in the vicinity, where they were taken under treatment. Following the attack, police teams took action upon reports suggesting the incident might have been an attack targeting a market operated by the suspect's father.

Riot police teams took extensive security measures in front of the market.

Police teams conducting an investigation at the scene have launched a large-scale operation to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspect. While the motive for the attack is being investigated, the inquiry into the incident continues.
