Son stabs mother's boyfriend, mother slaps police officer

The incident took place on the 3rd floor of a 4-story apartment building on Selçuk Street in the Hacılar Harmanı neighborhood. According to the information obtained, 20-year-old Cumali M., who came to his mother's house, caught his mother with Gökhan I. (38), who is alleged to be her boyfriend.

Grabbing a knife, the young man attacked Gökhan I., stabbing him in the chest and back. The man, who managed to leave the apartment and flee to the elevator shaft while severely wounded, collapsed to the ground covered in blood. Apartment residents who heard the sounds of the fight reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, performed the first intervention on the wounded man inside the apartment building. At that moment, the knife-wielding young man, who had come to the apartment hallway, attempted to stab the wounded man again.

While medical teams were intervening with the young man, police teams requested backup. Seeing the police, the young man fled with the knife in his hand. As a result of the police pursuit, the young man was caught in a field on a back street and taken into custody. The wounded man was taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment.

Cumali M., who was taken into custody, was brought to the hospital by police teams for a health check. The mother, Aslı D. (38), who came to the hospital to see her son, argued with the police teams. Police teams intervened when the mother demanded that her son's handcuffs be removed.

While the young man caused difficulties for the police officers for a long time, the mother, who was shouting at everyone in the hospital, slapped a police officer in front of everyone. The police officer, stunned by the slap, neutralized the woman by applying reverse handcuffs with the help of night watchmen.

The neutralized woman was also taken into custody along with her son. The mother and son, who underwent health checks, were taken to the police station to have their statements taken. It was learned that Gökhan I., who was taken into surgery, is in critical condition. It was also learned that the police officer who was slapped will file a complaint against the woman. An investigation into the incident has been initiated by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
