Striking results from the 'Should there be an early election?' poll! What do citizens want?
Asal Araştırma conducted a survey regarding the early election debates on the agenda. In the poll conducted across 26 provinces, citizens were asked, "Do you think there should be an early election?" The survey revealed striking results.
Discussions regarding an early election, which began after the Republican People's Party (CHP) emerged victorious from the March 31 local elections, continue.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel answered journalists' questions following his meeting with BTP leader Hüseyin Baş in recent days.
When asked for his assessment regarding an early election, Özel emphasized that there has been no change in the views he previously expressed.
"THE NATION DECIDES ON EARLY ELECTIONS"
CHP leader Özel had stated, "We do not think that talking about early elections in politics is like stepping on a landmine. We are not calling for an early election. The nation decides on the decision for an early election."
Following Özel's statement on early elections, Asal Research conducted a public opinion poll regarding early elections between May 24 and 28.
"DO YOU THINK THERE SHOULD BE AN EARLY ELECTION?"
In a survey conducted across 26 provinces, citizens were asked the question, "Do you think there should be an early election?"
68 PERCENT OF RESPONDENTS SAY "WE DO NOT WANT AN EARLY ELECTION"
68.3 percent of those who participated in the survey answered the question "Do you think there should be an early election?" with "No, we do not want an early election."
The rate of those calling for early elections was observed to be 20.9 percent.
"No opinion/No answer" was the response given by 10.8 percent of respondents.
