Survivors of hotel fire recount the disaster: 'No fire escape, no smoke detector...'
Survivors of the hotel fire in Bolu Kartalkaya recounted the moments of the disaster. Pointing out that no warning announcements were made, hotel guests stated, "There were no safety measures; there was no fire escape, no smoke detector, and no fire extinguisher."
A fire broke out at a hotel in the Kartalkaya Ski Center in Bolu around 03:00 at night.
10 people lost their lives in the fire, and 32 people were injured.
There is no news yet from 192 people.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 6 public prosecutors have been appointed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the fire, and an expert committee has been formed.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy are continuing their inspections at the scene.
It was learned that Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan is also heading to the region.

A hotel guest who survived the fire said in their statement to Ekol TV, "There were no safety measures; there was no fire escape, no smoke detector, and no fire extinguisher. We have not received any news from my children's friends and their mother. We survived by jumping out of the window."
