The 'gray area' alarm drawing attention in AKP corridors... Black Sea capital turns toward İmamoğlu: The breaking point is the trustee operations!
Journalist Nuray Babacan shared striking assessments from AKP corridors. It is claimed that undecided voters are experiencing a loss of confidence, while Black Sea capital is shifting toward İmamoğlu. Here are the details...
Nefes columnist Nuray Babacan brought to her column a development being discussed in AKP corridors that is causing concern for the ruling party. According to Babacan, at a time when the CHP has recently kept social opposition alive and reactions have gained continuity, discussions about the "voters in the gray area" are on the agenda within the AK Party.
In assessments made within the party, it is stated that the undecided voter base, which played a key role in the establishment of the ruling power, is now distancing itself from the AK Party. It is expressed that the ratio of this group is around 15 percent, while the AK Party's core base remains between 20-25 percent.
Babacan shared the following statements, citing comments from political corridors:
“These voters in the gray area no longer trust the AK Party. This group looks at things in terms of comfort and gain. Can they guarantee their present? Is what they possess safe? Do they carry risks regarding the future? These questions influence their decisions. They currently think that nothing is secure. They harbor concerns that trustees could be appointed to companies, their savings could be seized, or they could be taken into custody.”
RETURN OF UNDECIDED VOTERS IS DIFFICULT
According to AKP sources, it seems difficult for this group to return to the party under current conditions. It is stated that while a portion has turned toward the CHP, the vast majority are still waiting in an undecided position. Babacan reports that the expectation of "stability, trust, and legal guarantees" of these voters is no longer being met, and for this reason, they are keeping their distance from politics.
BLACK SEA CAPITAL HAS MOVED CLOSER TO İMAMOĞLU
Another striking headline in Nuray Babacan's corridor notes is the rift between Black Sea capital and the AKP. It is stated that President Erdoğan's statement weeks ago, "We know the hyenas working behind our backs," was directed at Black Sea capital groups that have established close relations with Ekrem İmamoğlu.
TRUSTEE OPERATIONS AND THE BREAKING POINT
Babacan wrote that almost all of the companies associated with IMM President İmamoğlu that have recently had trustees appointed to them had previously worked closely with the AKP. It is claimed that circles close to Erdoğan are monitoring these developments carefully and that reports are being prepared with an emphasis on "those working behind our backs."
AKP MEMBERS ALSO RECEIVE CALLS FOR HELP
According to what is conveyed in Babacan's article, it is being discussed even among AKP members that company executives who have had trustees appointed to them or who have fallen into financial distress are reaching out to them with requests for help.
