The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the death of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the central Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8, is ongoing.

It has been determined that uncle Salim Güran called a mobile phone in Antalya after Narin, whose last images were captured on the school's security camera at 15:15, went missing, and that he spoke with that number 5 times within 1 hour and 16 minutes between 16:43 and 17:59.

An examination of HTS records revealed a total of 352 seconds of conversation. The Gendarmerie determined that the person Salim Güran called was his cousin, Mehmet Şerif Güran, who lives in Diyarbakır and was vacationing with his family at a hotel in the Beldibi neighborhood of Kemer district in Antalya on August 21.

Mehmet Şerif Güran, the cousin with whom Güran spoke on the phone 5 times on the day of the incident, explained the mysterious phone calls.

Mehmet Şerif Güran, a farmer in Diyarbakır, stated: "I was on vacation with my family in Antalya-Kemer. He made the first call at 16:43. He told me that my cotton field in the village was infested with worms. At 16:55, he sent a photo from the field and asked, 'Should I spray it?' His voice was very calm. I didn't sense any trembling or anxiety. There was no panic in his voice. He didn't say anything unusual. He even joked, 'How is the vacation going?' since I was away."

Stating that he handed over the photos sent by Salim Güran on the day of the incident to the police units, Mehmet Şerif Güran noted that he returned to Diyarbakır after the body was found.

Güran said, "If I were to say I wouldn't have expected him to do such a thing, it would sound like I'm protecting him." 

"This attitude was imposed on everyone in the village. The judiciary will uncover the truth," he said.
