The world's best countries have been announced: What rank did Turkey place?

The results of this year's Best Countries list by U.S. News & World, one of the leading media organizations in the U.S., have been announced. In the study, which was conducted with the participation of more than 17 thousand people from around the world with the support of the marketing company WPP and the University of Pennsylvania, factors such as political power, economy, and cultural influence were evaluated.

Accordingly, Switzerland, which has not relinquished the top spot in recent years, took first place, while European countries also dominated the top rankings.

In the list where Japan ranks second, the United States, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Denmark followed respectively to round out the top 10 countries.

In the list where Italy ranked 15th, China 16th, and Qatar 25th, Turkey was only able to secure the 31st spot.

While Turkey is seen as a country with strong cultural influence, it is notable that it received low scores, particularly regarding entrepreneurship and openness to the business world.

In the section introducing Turkey, it was noted that the country, which is experiencing concerns over political stability, has been negatively affected by regional war, terrorism, Syrian refugees, and an economic crisis, and that it also falls behind EU standards regarding human rights.
