Forbes Advisor conducted research in which cities were scored based on security risks. The criteria used included factors such as crime rates, quality of healthcare services, natural disaster risks, and digital security risks. Among the cities scored between 0 and 100, the city that received the lowest score was determined to be the 'safest city'.

In the Forbes Advisor study, the Southeast Asian city-state of Singapore ranked first with a score of 0, being chosen as the 'safest city' in the world for tourists.

According to a report by CNBC-e, Singapore was followed by Tokyo and Toronto in the ranking of the safest cities for tourists. Tokyo was evaluated as the city with the lowest health security risk. Tokyo also became the city with the fifth-lowest infrastructure security risk.

Four of the 10 cities on the list are from Asia. The list is as follows: Singapore; Tokyo, Japan; Toronto, Canada; Sydney, Australia; Zurich, Switzerland; Copenhagen, Denmark; Seoul, South Korea; Osaka, Japan; Melbourne, Australia; Amsterdam, Netherlands.

According to the research, Caracas has become the riskiest city in terms of health security. This situation reflects the low level and quality of healthcare services and infrastructure in Caracas. The situation in Caracas is also not promising in terms of crime rates. The US Department of State has issued a 'Level 4: Do Not Travel' advisory for Caracas.

In the study, the city of Karachi, Pakistan, was identified as the second most at-risk city. Forbes Advisor classified Karachi as having the highest personal security risk and the fourth highest infrastructure security risk.

The city of Yangon in Myanmar ranked third in the list of the world's most unsafe cities. It was followed by Lagos in Nigeria, Manila in the Philippines, and Dhaka in Bangladesh.

According to research conducted by Forbes Advisor, Istanbul ranked in the middle tier for safety, scoring 61.10 out of 100. In the study, Istanbul was evaluated with a crime risk score of 33, a personal security risk score of 13, a health security score of 36, an infrastructure security score of 26, and a digital security risk score of 25.
