Truck with failed brakes hits 10 vehicles and falls into a canal: 6 people injured

The accident occurred around 17:30 on Bilal Eroğlu Street in the Göreme town, located in the city center.

The brakes of the truck with license plate 06 CVJ 721, whose driver has not yet been identified, suddenly failed while approaching the town of Göreme.

The truck, descending down a ramp, hit 10 parked vehicles on the street before falling into an irrigation canal.

Upon notification by citizens who witnessed the accident, numerous health, fire, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene.

The driver of the truck that fell into the irrigation canal was trapped inside the vehicle.

The driver was extracted from the vehicle after approximately half an hour of work by AFAD and fire department teams.

The 6 people injured in the accident, which was captured second-by-second on security cameras, were taken to various hospitals in the city for treatment, and an investigation into the accident has been launched.
