Umut Yılmaz, who joined the AKP, made statements in Gaziantep: There is no betrayal in this home

Şehitkamil Mayor Umut Yılmaz, who resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) and had his party badge pinned by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was welcomed by party members in Gaziantep.

Yılmaz said, "We will say AK Party again in Gaziantep. Under the command of our Provincial Chairman, arm in arm with our district chairman, and shoulder to shoulder with our deputies, this cause has restarted as of today. This place is my home. I am a child of this home just like you. There is no betrayal of one another in this home. There is no mudslinging at one another. There is brotherhood in this home. There is unity, there is solidarity. This struggle will continue from where it left off with this team."

Speaking at the provincial building, Mayor Umut Yılmaz stated that there are no people who betray each other or sling mud at each other within the AK Party, and that there is brotherhood and solidarity, adding that he would continue to serve Gaziantep from where he left off. Yılmaz said, "Our cause is the cause of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who says 'I cannot smile while Jerusalem is weeping.' Our cause is the cause of the President who said 'if they have a future, they will see it' when the barrels of tanks were pressed against his temple on July 15. From this hour on, we are a soldier and a partner of this cause, just like you.

Young people, you are very lucky; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is not only the leader of Turkey but of the world. I thank him once again from my hometown. Because he put me on this path together with true Muslims like you, who are loyal, long-suffering, and who do not slander him just because they do not think like him. Together with you, we will travel Gaziantep inch by inch, not only for Şehitkamil, but with our Metropolitan Mayor, with our Mayor Tahmazoğlu for Şahinbey, and with our other mayors, and we will say AK Party again in Gaziantep.
