Veteran dies by suicide at the bus stop where he was wounded due to gambling debts

According to theinformation obtained, on December17, 2016, during the terrorattack,Ferdi Çatal, who became a veteran, allegedly fell into a depression due togambling debts. 

Arriving in the morning at the bus stop where he was wounded, Çatal committed suicide there. Upon notification, police and medicalteams were dispatched to the area. During theintervention, it was determined that Veteran Ferdi Çatalhad lost his life. Police teams, who tooksecurity measures at the scene, conducted an investigation. 

Çatal'sbody was taken to the hospital morgue following the investigation.

Before committing suicide, Çatal recorded a farewell video, saying, "May everyone forgive me. The person who gambles ends up gambling with their life. I learned this.I have reached the end of the road. My relationship with my family and everyone else has deteriorated. I am a veteran, I have lost my reputation. Everything started with 'one time won't hurt.' Unfortunately, I became addicted."

On the other hand, it waslearned that the veteran who committed suicide, Ferdi Çatal, will belaid to rest in his hometown of Kastamonu.
