Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced: Rental contracts will be available via e-Devlet by the end of the year

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz made statements following the "Digital Turkey and Reduction of Bureaucracy Coordination Meeting" held at Beştepe.

Yılmaz stated that e-Government Gateway users will be able to process their rental contracts via the e-Government Gateway by the end of the year.

Vice President Yılmaz's statements are as follows:

At the center of our 12th 5-Year Development Plan, which was adopted last year, is the green and digital transformation, also referred to as the twin transformation. In this context, we are determined to continue the digital transformation strongly. The main agenda of our meeting today consists of the progress status of the e-Government Gateway, our position in international indices, and the new studies planned.

I would like to share with you all that the e-Government Gateway has reached a user count exceeding 66 million as of August 1, 2024. As you know, one must be at least 15 years old to log in to the e-Government Gateway.

With 66 million users, 96 percent of the population over the age of 15 in Turkey are now users of the e-Government Gateway.

There will not be much more progress from here because almost the entire adult population has been covered. This figure shows that digital literacy is on the rise in our country. The Turkish e-Government Gateway continues to be a source of pride for us, not only with its quantitative growth but also with its qualitative development.

In the 2024 European Commission e-Government Benchmark Report, Turkey's e-Government Gateway scored 83 points, placing it above the EU average and ranking 10th among 37 countries. (France ranked 19th, Germany 26th, and Italy 28th). We are identified as one of the leading countries among non-EU members.

Our country achieved a perfect score of 100 in the sub-categories of user support, digital post, core data sources, and cross-border user support, becoming one of the countries to rank 1st in these areas.

In the report, Turkey ranks 2nd with 99.6 points in the user-centricity category, 5th with 82 points in transparency, and 4th with 95 points in key enablers. Turkey has demonstrated success above the EU average in all these categories.

The report also notes that Turkey ranks among the top 10 countries in the health, moving, transport, and justice categories.

Integrated services currently account for 12 percent of the usage of more than 8 thousand services available on the e-Government Gateway.

Our goals for the upcoming period include strengthening our cybersecurity, expanding the use of our domestic and national software, and accelerating our knowledge-based economic development by exporting our successful products.

The digitalization of services means not only reducing bureaucratic burdens but also simplifying life, ensuring that our citizens receive services that are more effortless, faster, secure, and of higher quality.

In this context, I would like to provide brief information regarding the new services we have designed for the e-Government gateway. Our recent accomplishments include: museum card integration (390 thousand mobile museum cards) and the mobile accident report, which was launched on May 20 and has already been used by 59 thousand people.

e-Government Gateway users will be able to complete their rental contracts via the e-Government Gateway until the end of the year.

With the gradual development of the "My private insurance policies" integrated service, users will be able to access all their policy information from a single point and carry out their transactions.

Users will be able to use the data they have transferred to their digital wallets to benefit from public services even in environments without internet access. One of the studies conducted in the recent period has been the categorization and expansion of municipal services.

With this study, a standard has been brought to the digital services of local governments, and it has been ensured that municipal services are offered under 12 categories.

Today, 3,981 digital services belonging to 494 municipalities are offered on the e-Government Gateway. In addition, we are resolving disruptions in existing services and carrying out work to increase service quality. We are also performing categorization in higher education.
