When will the snowfall in Istanbul end?

Snowy days in Istanbul… The snowfall that began in Istanbul in the afternoon led to schools being closed on Thursday and Friday. The city was blanketed in snow. The snowfall continued on Saturday as well. So, when will the snowfall in Istanbul end, and how many more days will it last?

According to meteorological data, the snowfall in Istanbul will continue until Sunday night. From Monday onwards, Istanbul will experience cold and partly cloudy days throughout the week.

Murat Acar, a weather forecasting expert at the Turkish State Meteorological Service, explained what kind of weather we will encounter in the coming days:

“The effect of the cold weather will continue until the end of February. In the first week of March, we estimate that relatively warmer and rainy weather will be effective. Since the precipitation will come from the Mediterranean, it will be more in the form of rain and showers at the beginning of March.”
