Who will wash me when I die: The meaning behind the controversial poster revealed in the series Gassal

The first episode of the series Gassal, starring Ahmet Kural and directed by Selçuk Aydemir, has been released on TRT's tabii platform. The series Gassal tells the story of Baki, who works as a gassal—a person who washes the dead—in a district to earn a living. Baki is a person who loves solitude, keeps to himself, and has no one other than his close friend... All the work in the morgue falls on Baki... Because he has an assistant named Nadir who is afraid of the dead and cannot even look at them.

One day, Baki attends the funeral of a person with no relatives just to help form a congregation. While walking home after burying the deceased, a flower catches his attention. As he examines the flower, 3 people appear behind him. One of the men pulls a knife from his pocket and stabs Baki. However, it is not a real knife, but a prank knife... Nothing happens to Baki. The men laugh and walk away. However, Baki is very frightened.
