14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi was the son of the famous Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi and Turkish cellist Yasemin Akıncılar. On January 24, 2025, he was shopping at the Tuesday Market in Kadıköy, Istanbul.

During the shopping, a 15-year-old youth named B.B. got into a verbal altercation with Mattia Ahmet. Although Mattia Ahmet walked away, B.B. grabbed a knife from a market stall and stabbed Mattia Ahmet 5 times. B.B.'s friend, 16-year-old U.B., kicked Mattia Ahmet while he was lying on the ground. Mattia Ahmet, who was seriously injured, passed away on February 9.
