Woman who jumped from Osmangazi Bridge identified as social media influencer

The incident occurred on the Osmangazi Bridge. According to allegations, social media influencer Kübra Karaaslan came to the bridge and, for reasons yet unknown, climbed over the railings to the edge.

Drivers and citizens in the vicinity who noticed the situation mobilized to try and persuade Karaaslan.

Despite the long-lasting persuasion efforts and interventions of the citizens, Karaaslan threw herself into the void from a height of many meters.

Those moments were recorded second by second by other citizens on the bridge using a mobile phone camera.

In the footage shared on social media, it was seen that Karaaslan suddenly threw herself down while citizens were trying to persuade her.

In the work carried out by the teams dispatched to the area upon notification, it was determined that the person who lost her life was Kübra Karaaslan. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
