Woman who killed man she accused of abusing her arrested

According to the allegations, Emrah Çeliksoy sexually abused Sümeyye M. (25), who was the fiancée of his close friend Ahmet Furkan Ö. at the time, in 2020. The woman, who claimed she kept the situation hidden out of fear, told her husband Ahmet Furkan Ö., whom she married after receiving a message from Çeliksoy, about what had happened.

Following this, a fight broke out between Emrah Çeliksoy and Ahmet Furkan Ö. on July 31, 2025. During the fight, Çeliksoy stabbed Ahmet Furkan Ö. in the chest and fled to his home. Ahmet Furkan Ö. followed him and opened fire with a shotgun. Çeliksoy was wounded after being struck in the eye by pellets.

Çeliksoy, who was taken to the hospital, lost his sight in his left eye entirely and suffered vision loss in his right eye. Following the incident, Ahmet Furkan Ö. was arrested and sent to prison while undergoing treatment.

Rape allegation

A lawsuit was filed against Emrah Çeliksoy for "assault" and against Ahmet Furkan Ö. for "attempted murder." The defendants, both in custody and released pending trial, appeared in court yesterday regarding the incident.

Sümeyye M., who was heard as a witness, stated that Emrah Çeliksoy had raped her, that she had told Ahmet Furkan Ö. about this situation, and that the armed and knife-related incident occurred for this reason. She stated that they divorced after she told her husband about this situation.

Arrested

After the hearing, Sümeyye M. stabbed Emrah Çeliksoy in the heart with a knife she had obtained across from the courthouse, killing him. The woman, who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court she was brought before today and sent to prison.
