Yellow alert from Meteorology for 18 cities! Heavy rain is coming

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that the country's inner Aegean region, the inner parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Western and Central Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Diyarbakır will experience local showers and thunderstorms.

The precipitation is expected to be locally strong in the surroundings of Ankara, Eskişehir, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Yozgat, Afyonkarahisar, Konya, Çorum, the southern and eastern parts of Bolu, the southern parts of Karabük, Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Ağrı, and Bayburt, as well as the inner parts of Rize and Artvin provinces.

AIR TEMPERATURE

Temperatures, which have been hovering above seasonal norms across the country, are expected to decrease by 3 to 7 degrees in the eastern regions.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING

Due to the expectation of locally heavy rainfall in the vicinities of Ankara, Eskişehir, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Yozgat, Afyonkarahisar, Konya, Çorum, the southern and eastern parts of Bolu, the southern sections of Karabük, Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Ağrı, and Bayburt, as well as the inland areas of Rize and Artvin provinces, caution and preparedness are advised against potential negative impacts such as flash floods, inundation, lightning, local hail, sudden strong winds during precipitation, short-term storms, and disruptions to transportation.
