Young woman caught in the middle of an armed fight shot in the head

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on 88072 Street in the Mithat Toroğlu neighborhood of the central Toroslar district.

Allegedly, an armed fight broke out between two people on the street. At that moment, 18-year-old Nur Almuhammet, who had no connection to the fight and was trying to enter her home, was shot in the back of the head in front of the door and was critically injured.

In the incident, Can A. (26), who was stated to be one of the parties involved in the fight, was wounded by gunfire in the back and left leg.

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Despite all interventions, Nur Almuhammet, who was taken to the hospital by medical teams, lost her life. The injured Can A. was transported by ambulance to Mersin City Hospital and taken under treatment.

While police teams conducted an investigation at the scene, efforts were initiated to apprehend E. I., who was identified as the perpetrator of the armed attack. It was reported that the investigation is ongoing.
